Iran's new ambassador to Tajikistan, Naser Sarmadi Parsa, met with Iranian President Mohammad Khatami in Tehran on Monday.
In the course of the meeting, President Khatami stressed Iran's policy of encouraging friendship with all neighboring countries.
With regards to Central Asian republics, he said there was a need to enrich cooperation and economic ties with Tajikistan especially, a report released by the Information and News Department of the Presidential Office said, according to IRNA. (Albawaba.com)
