Iran Seeks Better Ties with Algeria

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Mohammad Sadr visited Algeria Sunday for a meeting with officials on building stronger bilateral ties. 

Sadr called for further expansion of Iran-Algeria cooperation in various political, economic, and cultural areas. 

The minister met with the president of the Algerian Senate on Sunday, during which time the two officials reviewed the latest regional and international developments and further expansion of cooperation between the two countries' parliaments, Iran’s official news agency (IRNA) reported. 

In a meeting with Algerian Foreign Minister Abdel Aziz Belkhadem, the Iranian official, on behalf of Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi, invited him to visit Iran, the agency added. 

The two sides exchanged also exchanged views on a number of issues related to the Islamic World – Albawaba.com
