Iran's minister of labor and social affairs, Hossein Kamali, signed Monday with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Abd al-Wahab al-Wazan, an agreement on expanding labor ties between the two countries, reported the Iranian News Agency (IRNA).

Wazan arrived in Kuwait on Friday and held talks with senior officials aimed at boosting ties with Tehran, said the agency.

The accord is expected to open a new chapter in the bilateral ties between the two neighbors, according to the agency.

Both ministers stressed the need to follow up the already signed bilateral agreements, IRNA said.

During his visit, Kamali held talks with a number of ministers and high-ranking Kuwait officials including the first deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs, speaker of the Kuwaiti parliament, minister of health, and officials with the chamber of commerce, said the agency -- Albawaba.com
