Iran will join the World Trade Organization (WTO) in “the near future,” said Labor and Social Affairs Minister Hossein Kamali on Saturday.
Kamali said at a seminar marking the International Labor Day, that following Iran's membership at the WTO all trade tariffs would be lifted, the official Iranian news agency (IRNA) quoted him as saying.
But the minister predicted that unemployment in the Islamic republic would aggravate as a result of joining the WTO – Albawaba.com
