Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi on Sunday proposed the British Prime Minister Tony Blair to attend the Holocaust seminar to be held in Tehran in spring. According to Irna, Asefi said if Blair attends the seminar, he can hear and raise issues which he cannot hear in London.

"What was published as a document in the United Nations on Saturday is the stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Holocaust," he said. A few weeks ago, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has described the Holocaust as a "myth" and suggested that those who sympathize with alleged Jewish victims be generous enough to give some of their territories to the Jewish state.

"If the British prime minister presents an article to the seminar, we will give time to other to hear his views."

Pointing to remarks made by Blair who has invited President Ahmadinejad to observe documents related to the Holocaust, Asefi added, "We should see when the president has time. We should make decision on this basis."
