Iran’s Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi will begin a two-day official visit to Syria and Lebanon on Sunday.
Kharazi is due to travel first to Syria, accompanied by high-level and several members of parliament, according to IRNA news agency on Saturday. He is scheduled to meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his counterpart, Farouk al-Shara.
They are expected to discuss, "regional and international developments, particularly the Palestinian and Iraqi issues as well as bilateral relations," the Iranian ambassador to Syria, Hussein Sheikh al-Islam was quoted as saying.
Kharazi is then set to head to Beirut for talks with Lebanese officials on Monday, Sheikh al-Islam said. In Lebanon, Kharazi is to meet with Foreign Minister Mahmoud Hammoud, an official there said. (Albawaba.com)
