Egyptian First Lady Suzanne Mubarak announced Sunday that her country had made remarkable advances in health services, leading to a lower mortality rate among infants, and more control over infectious diseases.
Her remarks came at the inauguration ceremony for Suzanne Mubarak’s Red Crescent Specialty Hospital for Children in Giza.
“Many diseases have been eradicated, including whooping cough, diphtheria, anchlistoma, and malaria, in addition to our success in lowering the incidence of tetanus and tuberculosis. And we are on the way to completely eradicating polio,” she said.
Mubarak said that “another dream that has become a reality” is that each Egyptian child now has a vaccination and medical history card - Albawaba.com
