Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri arrived on Saturday in Kuwait for a two-day official visit to the Gulf country, where he is to sign agreements on joint taxation, investment promotion and road transport, reported the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Hariri is also expected to seek a renewal of Kuwaiti aid to the tune of around 500 million dollars to finance development projects.
The prime minister will be accompanied by foreign minister, Mahmoud Hammoud, and finance minister, Fouad Siniora.
Since the end of the Lebanese civil war in 1990, Kuwait has provided Lebanon with 415 million dollars in aid, of which 127 million has been in the form of grants, said AFP.
During his stay in Kuwait, Hariri will hold talks with members of the Kuwaiti chamber of trade and industry and with a number of businessmen, said KUNA.
Hariri last week ended a two-day official visit to Tehran where he held talks with top officials on ways of enhancing political and economic cooperation between the two countries -- Albawaba.com
