ALBAWABA - According to Al-Jazeera, Hamas' armed branch, the Al-Qassam Brigades, claimed to have successfully attacked a 15-man Israeli unit near the Jabalia camp in northern Gaza.
As the military tried to invade a residential neighborhood, the gang claimed credit for setting off an explosive device that was intended at them. They also said that three Israeli tanks had been destroyed in Rafah and Gaza City.
Al-Qassam said in a statement that their militants killed Israeli soldiers after they set up a potent explosive device against them close to a communications intersection.
They also acknowledged that they used a "Yassin 105" missile to attack a personnel carrier near the Khazandar station in northwest Gaza City and a "Merkava" tank in the Al-Touam neighborhood.
Additionally, film of the detonation of an ambush intended for an Israeli engineering team in the Al-Rayan area, east of Rafah, was made public by the Al-Qassam Brigades' military media section.
Al-Qassam also said that they used "Yassin 105" missiles to successfully target two "Merkava" tanks and a "D9" military bulldozer in the Al-Jinina district of Rafah. They said that after the strike, Israeli helicopters were seen removing personnel.
