Gunmen kidnapped an unidentified German national in the capital Sanaa overnight, police said Thursday.
The German was abducted by armed tribesmen from the Bani Dhibyan tribe in the city center and taken to the Kholan region, around 100 kilometers (60 miles) east of the capital, police said.
Police could not confirm if the man was a tourist or worked in Yemen.
The commercial attache at the German embassy in Sanaa, Rainer Berns, was kidnapped in July and spent two months in captivity before being released by tribesmen unharmed – Sanaa (AFP)
