UAE boat-builder Gulf Craft has delivered 12 custom-built vessels for Pakistan’s Coast Guard service in the first $1-million phase of a multiple order.
Six measure 36-feet in overall length and the balance are 20-footers.
The fibreglass construction was to Coast Guard specifications in a deal negotiated by Gulf Craft’s dealer in Pakistan, Ahmed Saeed Chaudhary, managing director of Myriad Trade Enterprise.
“This is the conclusion of the first part of a larger order from the Pakistan Coast Guard and illustrates Gulf Craft’s continued success in building up new export markets,” said executive manager Erwin Bamps. “We are confident that substantial orders will follow as our reputation spreads in the sub-continent.”
Gulf Craft already exports more than 70 per cent of its annual production of more than 600 vessels and its international dealer network is a vital factor in maintaining the high volume of foreign sales.
The company is now represented in more than 40 countries, with recent additions being USA (Florida), Egypt, Norway, Italy, and Hong Kong.
