BenQ, the region’s leader in digital lifestyle products, has witnessed unprecedented demand for its award-winning range of LCD TVs among target audiences in Kuwait.

As part of expanding its product line-up in the Middle East, the company is at the forefront of the growing market in the country, by concentrating on corporate, dealer networks and retail showrooms.

BenQ’s LCD TV’s have been extremely popular among customers in Xpresscell showrooms, the company’s channel partner in Kuwait, confirming recent trends that the market for its stylish digital lifestyle products is nearly twice as buoyant in the Middle East as it is in Europe.

“LCD TV sales have been strong across the Middle East and the huge demand for LCD in niche markets such as Kuwait proves the future of digital entertainment lies very much in these products,” said Manish Bakshi, general manager, BenQ Middle East and Africa.

“The positive feedback from Kuwait reaffirms BenQ’s commitment to bring technology within the average consumer range and expand our range of LCD products. The regional LCD TV sector is growing rapidly and we will continue to provide excellent products at an affordable price in order to satisfy consumer expectations,” Bakshi added.

BenQ is the current No.3 producer of LCD monitors in the region and also has the second highest share of the regional projector market, according to BNA and DTC research respectively.

BenQ LCD televisions are also available at outlets across the GCC region such as Doha Communications in Qatar, and Ashrafs in Bahrain. Its award winning product line-up ranges from 20 inch to 42 inches. The VA series of LCD televisions is aimed at consumers looking for high specifications with affordability, and is the perfect replacement for current users of CRT televisions. The elegant and simply designed models feature HDTV compatibility (1080i, 720p), 1200:1 contrast ratios, high-definition multimedia (HDMI) interface and an 8-millisecond response time - perfect for minimising ghosting effects during effects in sports programmes and gaming sessions.

The growth in regional LCD TV sales can be partly attributed to the replacement market, with consumers updating their outdated TVs for stylish and compact models.

As the world’s third largest manufacturer of LCD panels, BenQ is able to offer exceptional value for money and, since the launch of its anterior LCD TV in 2004, has introduced several other new models.
