Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou, whose country currently holds the rotating EU presidency, is expected to travel to the Egyptian capital city of Cairo during the weekend to discuss the Iraqi crisis with Arab leaders, he said on Tuesday.
The Greek foreign minister is due to meet with regional leaders on Saturday, the day before a two-day emergency summit of Arab nations is set to open in Cairo.
"As holders of the EU presidency, we will address the Arab nation ministers, put across our ideas and listen to theirs" on the Iraqi crisis, Papandreou said during an interview with an Athens radio station. (Albawaba.com)
