ALBAWABA - The Gaza Strip, which has been embroiled in a conflict with Israel for over a year, immediately celebrated Iran's surprise missile strike on Israel on October 1, 2024.

A young guy shouted, "We will repeat October 7th," alluding to an important date in the current struggle, as he watched the missiles sail across the sky as throngs of people gathered in Gaza to celebrate the attacks.

Children danced on the streets of the northern Jabalia refugee camp, while Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, saw inhabitants show their happiness via yells and general revelry.

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) confirmed that Iran has launched several rockets, some of which have reached Jerusalem. As a result, air raid sirens have been activated across the city and its surrounding areas. This escalation follows a recent warning from the U.S. about an imminent missile strike from Iran.

Sirens also rang out in Tel Aviv, prompting millions of Israelis to seek shelter. The Israeli Foreign Ministry announced that alarms were sounding nationwide, affecting major cities and communities throughout the country.

The Foreign Ministry stated, "Sirens are ringing across all regions of Israel, sending millions into bomb shelters."
