Bahraini Foreign Minister Mohammed Abdul Ghaffar denied late Saturday reports that US warplanes had arrived in the country.
“The subject was still under consultation by the two countries,” he was quoted as saying by the Gulf Daily News.
Ghaffar was commenting on recent press reports about the arrival of warplanes in the Gulf region to be deployed with the US-led coalition against terrorism.
The minister reiterated Bahrain's total condemnation of all forms of terrorism and its firm stand against it.
He said there were constant contacts between Bahrain, the GCC states and the US to form a unified position against terrorism, according to the paper – Albawaba.com
