Fatima Award for Ideal Family of 2001 Announced

The results of the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Award for the Ideal Family for the year of 2001 have been announced.  

 

Gulf News reports that the first prize has been won by Hassan Salem Hassan Al Muhairy's family in Abu Dhabi, the second prize by Abdullah Naser Mohammed Saleh's family in Sharjah, the third prize by Adel Humaid Al Mazrouie's family in Dubai, fourth prize by Mohammed Hashel Al Moheiry's family in Sharjah, and fifth prize by Eissa Ahmed Obeid Mukhashab's family in Sharjah.  

 

The families were selected from a wide range of 25 families, which qualified for the Award. A total amount of 59 applications were submitted.  

 

The judges on the panel for the prize were Hassan Seif Al Jabiri from the President's Court, Aida Abdullah Al Azdi from the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, Bushra Khalfan bin Badr from the Ministry of Education and Youth, Aisha Jumaa Al Rumaithi, Mariam Salam Al Manzari, Fatima Thani Al Rumaithi and Mona Khalil Ibrahim, all from the General Women's Union.  

 

In the meantime, the Arab Women Media Forum is being organized by the General Women Union in cooperation with the Arab League, National Women Council (Egypt) and Al Hariri Foundation (Lebanon) next month. (albawaba.com)
