ALBAWABA - The Israeli army said that seven of its soldiers were wounded – one seriously – in Hezbollah drone attacks in southern Lebanon over the past 24 hours.

On Wednesday, the Israeli army carried out one of the most intense attacks in three weeks, targeting and killing a major Hezbollah commander.

Israel killed Malek Ballout, a senior Hezbollah commander who had served as the head of the Radwan Force for approximately two and a half years.

Lebanese sources confirmed that Ballout held the position of "operations commander" in the Radwan Force, considered Hezbollah's elite unit, while Israel stated that he was the force's commander.

Lebanese authorities said Israel launched more than 50 strikes across the country within 24 hours, killing at least 15 people and pushing the overall death toll since early March to nearly 2,700.

In response, Hezbollah said it carried out 13 operations targeting Israeli forces and vehicles along the southern border.
