A 12-year-old boy and his father were killed Wednesday in Gaza in a clash between supporters of Palestinian groups over who would write graffiti on a wall, witnesses and hospital officials said, according to AP.

The clashes erupted in Sheikh Radwan in Gaza City as supporters from Hamas and Fatah gathered to write graffiti about the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Allam Jabin, 12, and his father, Issam Jabin — a policeman and a Fatah member — were killed in the fighting, hospital officials said. A Hamas supporter was wounded by shrapnel from a homemade hand grenade, the officials said.

Allam Jabin and his father were unarmed. Witnesses said a large crowd gathered in the street following the incident, and police closed the main entrance to the neighborhood. (Albawaba.com)
