Etisalat sponsors Sharjah Ramadan Festival 2005

Emirates Telecommunication Corporation (Etisalat) today announced major sponsorship support for Sharjah Ramadan Festival organized by Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, during the period October 4 – November 10.

This was announced during a Press conference held at the Millennium Hotel in Sharjah with the presence of officials from Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Etisalat and other sponsors.

Abdul Aziz Al Taryam, Deputy General Manager, Etisalat’s West Coast region, said: “Emirates Telecommunication Corporation - Etisalat – in the last years, has put a tremendous effort in supporting the UAE society through a variety of sponsorships and the participation in a number of social and economical activities. This commitment arose from the Corporation’s vision and understanding of the responsibility that companies and corporations have towards supporting the community “.

He added that, Etisalat is a pioneer telecommunication service provider which does spare no effort to enhance its cooperation with and support for its customer.

“Etisalat continues to be part of the success story that has transformed the United Arab Emirates into a regional and international business hub. It continues to embrace the future and create strategies to turn potential into opportunities. It is a mainstay of the country’s economic and social life and is committed to increasing its investment in advanced infrastructures, human resources and new markets, “Taryam noted.

Ahmed Bin Ali, Corporate Communications Manager, Etisalat, said:” Etisalat has recently sponsored many activities and they include: Dubai Shopping Festival, Dubai Summer Surprises, the Ajman Shopping Festival, the Power Boat Speed Racing event in Ras Al Khaimah, the Emirates Civilization Marathon and a the Flower Show and Festival in Al Ain, the Future Tourism Investment in the Gulf Cooperation Council conference, the Bowling championship in Fujairah, the Competition Tours organized by the Ministry of Education, and the Special Needs Care and Rehabilitation Center “.

Bin Ali added that Etisalat also thanked all those who contributed to making these various events a success and further reinforcing, through their efforts, the positive image that the UAE enjoys.
