Epson Middle East has announced that it will be launching a new range of advanced scanners incorporating cutting edge technology at Gitex Dubai 2005. The new models include the Perfection 3490 Photo, Perfection 3590 Photo and Perfection 4490 Photo.
The Epson Perfection 3490 Photo is the quick and easy way to turn your photo collection into a digital album. Scan and restore faded memories from 35mm film, slides and photos, then print, enlarge or archive. Scanning is made easy with the Epson Perfection 3490 Photo, with just four buttons controlling the process: Start, Copy, Scan to Email and Scan to PDF. Easy to use, without compromising on quality, this scanner ensures professional results thanks to 3200dpi optical resolution, 48 bit colour, plus a built-in Transparency Unit (TPU) for positive and negative film scanning.
The Epson Perfection 3590 Photo offers a more advanced way to turn your photo collection into a digital album, with all the features of the 3490, including the four control buttons. It also has a built-in Auto Film Loader, which saves you loading the film. Simply place your film on the film ramp, press the scan button and preview your images. You can then either batch scan the entire film or select the images you would like to scan.
The Epson Perfection 4490 Photo is designed to retain even the finest details from your original. At 4800 x 9600dpi optical resolution and 48-bit colour, it's not only a professional colour scanner, it's also easy to use. Just four buttons control the process: Start, Copy, Scan to email and Scan to PDF.  In addition to standard 35mm filmstrips and mounted slides, the built-in film adapter also supports medium format (up to 6 x 12cm), negative and positive film. It also features the Digital Ice technology as well as an advanced software package which includes Adobe® Photoshop® Elements 3.0 enabling total control over the editing of your scans.

“Consumers are demanding more from scanners all over the world, and the Middle East is no exception,” said Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East. “To help our regional customer get the best from scanners, we have launched a highly versatile range of scanners that makes restoration of old records and films a child’s play, apart from offering superior scanning functions for routine jobs. Gitex is an excellent platform to introduce this advanced range of scanners to the Middle East market.”
