Iraqi security sources reported that an eight-year old boy was kidnapped on Wednesday outside of his home in Baghdad. The boy was the son of a man working as a guard at the trial of Saddam Hussein.

In the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk, gunmen disguised in police uniforms entered a main hospital in the city, killing three security guards, according to Reuters.

According to a source at the hospital, the men were apparently attempting to free an injured man who was being treated for wounds after being captured by Iraqi troops on Tuesday. He was reportedly in the process of planting a roadside bomb. Five others were wounded in the attack.

A roadside bomb that exploded seriously wounded an Iraqi policeman in Musaib, south of Baghdad. The area, in which countless Iraqis have been killed, has been referred to as the "Triangle of Death," Iraqi sources revealed.

In a separate incident, Iraqi medical sources reported that three bodies of people who appeared to be civilians were brought to the main hospital of Falluja, west of Baghdad after being found outside the city. The bodies were reportedly bound and had been shot to death.

The attacks come as Saddam Hussein faces charges of crimes against humanity in an Iraqi court.
