Egyptian police arrested a man with explosives trying to infiltrate into Israel by the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Taba, an Egyptian source said Saturday.
The would-be infiltrator was detained late Tuesday night, the official said on condition of anonymity, according to AFP.
Egypt tightened security on its border with the Gaza Strip after Israeli soldiers shot and killed an Egyptian man trying to smuggle explosives across the border on Tuesday.
Since the Palestinian uprising erupted almost 19 months ago, a number of infiltration attempts and shooting incidents have occurred along the Israeli Egyptian border. (Albawaba.com)
