An Egyptian stabbed on Saturday a Japanese tourist, a 40 year old lady, in the Jiza area.
The police chased the assailor, shot and injured him, said Abu Dhabi TV correspondent in Cairo.
The reporter quoted sources as saying the attacker was probably acting individually.
