Egypt is considering a proposal for holding a summit conference by member states of the Organisation of
Islamic Conferfence (OIC) to deal with the current deteriorating situation in the Middle East, Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher said in statements on Thursday.
In reply to questions by reporters, Maher said the would-be conference is to be held at the request of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. (Albawaba.com)
