Dubai to witness the largest security & safety trade fair in the Middle East

The Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center hosts one of the largest shows in the Middle East highlighting the latest techniques and techonologies in the fields of Security, Fire, Police and Safety & Health, all held under one roof at Intersec Middle East 2007 from 21 till 23 January 2007.

Intersec Middle East 2007, organised by Messe Frankfurt the world’s third largest trade fair organizer, showcases more than 600 exhibitors this year, an increase of over 50% from the previous year. The event  offfers excellent networking opportunities, allows companies to find new sources of distribution and business partners by building and reinforcing existing relationships in the Middle East. The show is solidly supported by the Dubai Police, the UAE Civil Defence and the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health.

The exhibitors at Intersec 2007 are showcasing their cutting-edge products incorporating four segments of the trade fair: Commercial Security, Police & Homeland Security, Fire, and Safety & Health.

In the Commercial Security and Police & Homeland Security  segments, domestic companies as well as international ones will make a very strong debut of their state-of-the-art products such as the VideoRay device for underwater maintenance presented by Emirates Aviation Supply Center. Cambridge Consultants will be launching their new Prism 200, a radar that provides information on movement and location. ICX Technologies from USA develops sensors detecting chemical, biological, radiological and explosive materials. The Singapore-based military contractor ‘Precision Fabricators’ produces military vehicles as well as anti-terrorist vehicle barrier systems.

Within the Fire Middle East section of the show, Oshkosh Truck Corporation – a leading manufacturer of specialty trucks for fire and emergency will be among the many exhibitors at Intersec 2007 as well as Schlingmann, one of Europe’s leading fire truck builders in Germany. Tyco Fire and Security will be showcasing the latest digital video technology in security and fire safety solutions and Watania will be showcasing their design solutions, for the supply and installation of fire protection systems.

SFFECO will be showing their top-of the-range sprinklers systems, hydrants, pumps, fire alarms and detection systems.

Firex and Naffco are local market leaders in the field of fire fighting equipment; their products include all types of fire extinguishers, fire cabines, fire trucks, etc. Novar Gent and Novar Esser by Honeywell and Bristol Fire have the latest technolgies displayed through their products at Intersec 2007.

Cutting-edge equipment, including the latest breathing and air supply apparatus for those at the forefront of fire-fighting safety, will also be on show from MSA Middle East, while German exhibitors LUKAS Hydraulik will be demonstrating the latest in hydraulic rescue equipment.

Other exhibitors include Gloria – Europe’s leading manufacturer of fire extinguishers, INFIRE – a consultancy in fire, rescue and hazardous materials; and BlazeMaster, experts in fire sprinkler systems.

The fourth segment of the trade fair covers the Safety & Health aspect where experts will see the launch of the latest technologies ranging from e-learning tools and protective clothing as well as state-of-the-art emergency equipment.

Coastal Training Technologies brings their online safety training courses, ClarityNet, to the region. Lakeland introduces its new range of Pyrolon coverall’s which offer users a unique combination of chemical protection and flame retardency. Also making its debut at Intersec Heath & Safety, is ChemMAX by Lakeland; another new range of lightweight disposable chemical suits . ASR Inc, who specialise in ropes, rescue harnesses, rescue kits, tripods and stretchers, will be launching their new concrete cutters. Bacou-Dallouz will be showcasing four of their latest products: Lightning® Hi-Visibility Series; noise blocking earmuffs with reflecting headbands. Pulsafe® FitLogic™ offers the first safety eyewear. Bacou-Dallouz who have a license agreement with Timberland PRO® will be showing their safey footwear as well as workwear jackets and gloves. Bacou-Dallouz developed the Miller Revolutionary Harness which will be displayed at Intersec 2007.
Balder will introduce the New Generation of autodarkening welding filters which is advanced Angular Dependence Compensation (ADC) technology.
Petzl, the market leaders for equipment and techniques for work and rescue at heights,will hang ropes from the ceiling of Zabeel Hall and demonstrate the latest rescue and rapeling techniques.
Other exhibitors include MSA, the world’s leading manufacturer of sophisticated safety products, AEARO with its brands E.A.R. and Peltor, pioneers in the field of hearing protection and head and face protectors.
EC Harris, JSP, KERMEL, Tempex Austria, Midas and footwear specialists Evol and Diadora will also be participating, alongside experts in PPE (personal protective equipment)  Deltaplus Group.
The three-day event from the 21 – 23 January at Intersec Middle East 2007 will be used as a platform by thousands of industry experts to exchange ideas and introduce their latest products and ideas to the region and will include a high level conference to provide an opportunity for visitors to listen to and interact with experts in the fields of fire, security and safety and health.
