Dubai Crown Prince and UAE Defense Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum held talks on Friday with the Pakistani Minister of Finance Shawkat Aziz, discussing the bilateral relationship between the two countries and the latest international development especially in Afghanistan.
The Crown and his guest who arrived in Dubai after participating in the meeting of Islamic Development Bank in Algeria, reviewed the relations between the two countries and the role of Islamic Development Bank in boosting economic development projects in poor Islamic countries.
According to the UAE’s official news agency (WAM), the talks included closer bilateral economic cooperation, and increased UAE investment in Pakistan.
Aziz told reporters at a press conference that he held "substantive" talks with Sheikh Mohammed, reviewing the situation in Afghanistan.
The Pakistani Minister said that "Sheikh Mohammed expressed his solidarity with and support to the Pakistan government" -- Albawaba.com
