The Nissan stage at the UAE Desert Challenge has always been recognized as one of the most difficult stages to get through, and this year is no different. Drivers will have to test their limits during Stage 5, aptly named the Nissan Stage for the resilience needed to get through, taking place on Day 4 of the UAE Desert Challenge, Monday November 14th.
“The Nissan Leg 5 is the final stage of the UAE Desert Challenge, reputedly the hardest stage of the challenge taking place 100% in the UAE desert – drivers will need to be extremely vigilant and supported by a strong vehicle like the Patrol to be able to get across.”
Drivers will take off from the Moreeb Hill Bivouac at 6:25am and go on for 123 kilometers, all of which will be in the UAE’s notoriously harsh desert dunes, followed by a 185 kilometers stretch to the finish line, 80% of which is in the desert, making the Nissan Leg 5 the most demanding stage of the Desert Challenge.
The UAE Desert Challenge starts on Thursday November 10 and finishes on Monday November 14 with the Nissan Stage. The Nissan Patrol is the official car of the UAE Desert Challenge and will be used by the UAE Desert Challenge Marshals as the official support vehicle throughout the event.
