Bayanat-Data Processing Systems (DPS), the region’s foremost integrator of avionics and advanced airport systems, has received ISO 9001:2000 recognition from the international certification body, Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Ltd, for its entire operations.
This award is one of the most significant any company can receive for its business processes and customer satisfaction, and confirms that DPS’ management systems and product quality are of world-class standard.
“The ISO 9001:2000 award is a great honour for everyone at DPS, and is one of the highest quality benchmarks a company can receive. Moreover, it is an indication to all of our existing and prospective customers that we are fully committed towards first-class quality standards,” says Georges Hannouche, CEO of Bayanat Group.
Special credit was given to the unique procedures in which DPS provides its customers with state-of-the-art networking equipment and high quality engineering services in its many turnkey airport projects.
ISO 9001:2000 has become the international reference for quality requirements with certification, and is the preferred solution for over half a million organisations in 159 countries.
“The ISO 9001:2000 certification is an award every business wants to gain because it is so important to maintaining and increasing market share. Most importantly, however, the award gives us new common sense and a practical method for improving procedures,” added Hannouche.
To gain the award DPS also had to demonstrate superior ability in leadership, involvement of all company personnel, continual improvement, a factual approach to decision making, and a mutually beneficial supplier relationship.
This award puts DPS on a par with such internationally renowned companies as BT, Shell, ICI and Dow Corning which have received the same recognition for their quality management systems.
