Vision-X Dubai, the 7th Optical and Ophthalmic Exhibition and Conference, was officially inaugurated today by H.E. Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director General of the Department of Health & Medical Services.
With visitor numbers expected to double at this year’s event, Vision-X Dubai is now the region’s largest eyewear and optical health exhibition.
The value of the Middle East’s optical and ophthalmic industry is estimated to be in the region of USD 2 billion and the enthusiastic opening and registration on the first day reflects the industry’s growing number of specialists and visitors in attendance.
Previously known as Optical Middle East, Vision-X Dubai’s inaugural opening, under its new brand name, saw trade visitors coming from around the Gulf Region and internationally.
Visitor numbers are expected to break 5,000 for this year’s event, which will host 25% more exhibitors than the previous exhibition. Organisers say that a surge in demand for eyewear and eye care products and services have driven the event to new heights.
