A media business center in the Dubai Media City was inaugurated Saturday to provide freelance media professionals with sponsorships and all other requirements for a creative environment, reported the Gulf News.
"We are providing freelancers the chance to operate in a hassle-free environment where sponsorship and visa procedures will be simple and easy to process," said Saeed Al Muntafiq, Dubai Media City CEO.
"The media business center has space for up to 80 freelance workstations, and 24 executive offices ranging in size from 126 to 738 square feet," he added.
The center's client list includes freelance graphic designers, web designers, journalists, photographers, copywriters, magazine publishers, film directors, live event producers and post-production companies, said the paper.
Executive offices are suited for project teams, new entrepreneurs, business partners requiring private offices and international media firms seeking to establish regional representation.
Other facilities include a library facility with online and offline materials, a gymnasium and a coffee shop.
"Bringing together creative talent under one roof also provides Dubai's and regional media industry with a center to source suppliers across the whole spectrum of media talent and expertise, the CEO said – Albawaba.com
