As the winter months approach, Dubai Herbal & Treatment Centre’s Ayurveda Specialist Dr Asha Rani says it is a good time to detoxify and rejuvenate your system, so the centre is offering a 25 percent off the Ayurvedic marma massage.

Ayurveda is an ancient Indian medical system originating 5,000 years ago, focusing on the prevention of diseases and aging to encourage the maintenance of health and longevity.

It encompasses various techniques for assessing health. Palliative and cleansing measures are used to help eliminate imbalances of the three doshas (energy life forces), Vata, Pitta and Kapha, along with suggestions for lifestyle changes, diet and medicinal herbs.

“Ayurveda is one of the most unique and systematic science, approaches to eliminate the deep-seated toxins in the body,” says Dr Asha.

According to Dr Asha, Panchakarma is a unique and life changing experience that restores the physical, mental emotional balance by eliminating the toxins from the cellular level. Marma massage is the intial step, which achieves a deeper level of balance for wellbeing.

“Marmas are the meeting point of five principles including nerves, flesh, arteries, veins and bones,” she says. “With stimulation of these main points, circulation of life forces effectively rebalances the physical body and the doshas while promoting lightness, intuition and a blissful state of mind.

“Marma massage is the only answer and it is advisable that at least once a year everyone should try to have at least three to seven days of treatment to achieve or maintain a perfect balance.”

Normally priced at AED200/ marma massage is being offered at a 25 percent discount for Dhs150 during October and November. AED30/ will be charged for one time for registration. The session lasts one hour followed by a shower after the therapy for a fresh and energetic feel.
