Damascus Radio stressed on Wednesday that the practices of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon have clearly revealed that he has grounded the peace process as a whole, and what he is doing in the occupied Arab territories aims at carrying out the long awaited “expulsion plan” of the Palestinian people.

The State-run radio said that the Israeli leader is completing the 1948 war by “terrorist means”, according to the Syrian Arab news agency SANA.

Furthermore, the Syrian radio indicated that Premier Sharon has returned the region to “square one” and fortified the Israeli interests in the United States at a time the peace process is being pushed into a deadlock.

The radio added that the region has entered a dangerous circle in wake of Sharon’s threats, as he encourages the Americans to accelerate their military strike against Iraq and shows a zeal for participating in it even after the Iraqis have agreed to the unconditional return of arms inspectors.
