Damascus Radio said Monday that the "war-allies" in Iraq have begun to "pay the price" for their "greed, mistakes and disregard" of international legitimacy resolutions represented by the United Nations.
"The Iraqi people are aware of the ongoing events on their lands at the hands of the occupiers under the banner of democracy and toppling the former regime... They need no other clues to prove the real reasons behind the American-British invasion of their country", the state-run radio said in its daily political commentary, cited by SANA.
The radio made clear that the situation has changed in Iraq in a way that obliged the occupiers to re-assess their calculations and prepare for another stage of "misleading propaganda", which, according to the radio, is doomed to fail due to the beginning of the "revolution of defending the nation and sovereignty."
