A Briton jailed for 15 years in Bahrain for manslaughter had his appeal adjourned for another month Tuesday, reported the Gulf Daily.

It said the court decided to adjourn his appeal for further forensic evidence.

Richard Mechan, 35, is appealing against his conviction for stabbing to death American Marshall Earl Emmons in January last year.

Mecah said the killing was on grounds of self-defense, said the paper.

The Bahrain forensic pathologist was ordered last month to submit more evidence to the High Appeal Court, in response to a report by Northern Ireland state pathologist Professor Jack Crane – Albawaba.com.
