Collective Work of Khatibi and Khayat “Open Correspondence” Appears

The collective work of the famous writers Abdelkebir Khatibi and Ghiata Khayat has been recently published by Marsam editions. <i>Emarrakech</i> reports that Khatibi and Khayat presented their book on April 7 in the presence of several Moroccan intellectuals and artists. Khatibi and Khayat’s book “Open Correspondence” is a written work of the exchange between the two writers between 1995 and 1999 in the form of a series of letter and in this sense it is the first of its kind published in the Arab World. The book “Open Correspondence” consists of 59 letters, which deals with several questions related to the intellectual and daily life as well as the feelings of love and friendship. The writer Ghiata notes that the publication of this correspondence was Khayat’s idea adding that the originality of this book lies in its innovation and creation.
