Career Fair 2001 Inaugurated in Dubai

The Second Annual Careers UAE 2001 Fair was inaugurated Monday by Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, son of General Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defense Minister, at the Airport Expo in Dubai, according to Khaleej Times. The Fair will end on December 27. 

 

The career fair, offering career opportunities to high school and university graduates, has been organized by the Dubai World Trade Center in association with the Higher Colleges of Technology and the National Human Resources Development and Employment Authority. Mattar Al Tayer, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs and Chairman of the National Human Resources Development and Employment Authority, Mohammed Al Abbar, Director General of Department of Economic Development Dubai, as well as other leading officials accompanied Shaikh Hamdan to the opening. Sixty different organizations representing both the private and the public sectors are taking part in the Fair. These participants include a number of leading banks, financial companies and organizations, hospitality, oil and gas sectors. 

 

Mr. Al Tayer spoke of the importance of the 2001 Fair, saying that by bringing together the employers, the employees and the education sectors together to one place, the fair helps students explore the different job opportunities that are open to them.
