US President George W. Bush announced Thursday he will nominate former US State Department spokeswoman, Margaret Tutwiler, as ambassador to Morocco, said reports.
"Margaret Tutwiler has a vast knowledge of the issues that affect Morocco and the surrounding region," Bush said, cited by the official MAP news agency.
"Her experience in the Middle East and North Africa will be a great asset for Morocco and for the United States. Margaret will be an outstanding representative of the United States in Morocco," said President Bush.
Tutwiler, who will replace Edward Gabriel, served as Assistant Secretary of State and spokesperson from 1989 until 1992 in President George H.W. Bush's administration, then served as Assistant to the President for Communications from August 1992 to January 1993, said MAP - Albawaba.com
