British investments in Egypt’s oil and gas sectors are expected to reach $8 billion in the next four years, minister of petroleum, Sameh Fahmi, was quoted as saying by the weekly Middle East Times.
Fahmi’s remarks came after a recent meeting of the British-Egyptian Businessmen's Council in London, said the weekly.
The meeting centered on three aspects: attracting foreign investment in Egypt, increasing exports, as well as boosting cultural ties.
The council has managed to attract $4 billion over the past three years, said the weekly, adding that exports to Britain rose by 65 percent last year – Albawaba.com
