A teenager suspected of carrying out the Boston Marathon bomb attacks is in custody in the United States after he was found hiding in a boat, in a suburban Massachusetts yard.
19 year old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was captured after exchanging gunfire with police on Friday evening, and remains in a critical condition in hospital.
The Chechen-American's brother Tamerlan, who was thought to be an accomplice in the Boston Marathon attacks, was killed by police earlier on Friday after a firefight with Boston police. Dzhokhar escaped on foot.
Three people were killed and over 150 were injured in last Monday's bomb attacks at the Boston Marathon.
US President Barack Obama spoke after the suspect was apprehended, pledging to find answers for the victims of the Boston Marathon Attacks.
“The families of those killed so senselessly deserve answers,” said Obama, before branding the suspects "terrorists".
He noted that the suspects had both spent many years in the United States, living in Cambridge Massachussets. It's thought that the family moved to the United States in 2001, after fleeing the Russian republic of Dagestan.
