A bomb exploded outside a local office of Turkey's governing party in Istanbul, and police detonated two other bombs in the city on Sunday, however no injuries or damage were reported.

Police were notified about suspicious packages in Besiktas, a lively commercial and residential neighborhood, and detonated two bombs, Anatolia news agency said.

Later on, a bomb left near the Istanbul headquarters of the governing Justice and Development Party exploded, however, that bomb seemed to have been intended to make noise rather than cause any damage or injuries, the agency said.

Turkish police forces also detonated two other suspicious packages near the party building in Sisli, a mixed commercial and residential area. However, the agency said those packages contained no explosives. (Albawaba.com)
