Osama bin Laden, Al Qaeda leader, vowed in an undated videotape aired Thursday night that the United States would not have security as long as Palestinians did not enjoy peace.
Bin Laden did not explicitly admit any role in the September 11 attacks but vowed Muslims would continue to fight despite the greater military power of their enemies.
"America will not even dream of security if we do not see it as a tangible reality in Palestine," said Bin Laden in the videotape broadcast by Qatar-based Al Jazeera satellite television.
"We heralded to you a few weeks ago that your brethren have come out carrying their heads on their hands aspiring to die in God's way, so I pray God to give them victory and make them hit their targets," he said in what appeared to be a speech to his followers ahead of the attacks.
"These men who went out, they truly believe that what God offers is better than what is in this life," bin Laden said in the clip, parts of which have been broadcast previously.
The Saudi dissident appears in the tape against two different backdrops — a plain white wall and a field with a mountain in the distance. The sound quality during his appearances is poor, often disturbed by wind in the background. (Albawaba.com)
