ALBAWABA– Following continuous war and Ukrainian incursions into Russian territory, Belarus has increased its military presence near the Ukraine border. This is part of Russia's territorial expansion escalation.

Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin ordered more troops and missiles to Gomel and Mazyr on the southern border. State news agency Belta stated that he warned of Ukrainian military escalation.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated today that it has taken control of Sergeyivka, a crucial town 15 kilometers from eastern Ukraine's Pokrovsk. This follows Ukraine's Kursk invasion. Moscow said a NATO-equipped Ukrainian surveillance unit in Kursk was destroyed.

Russia intercepted 12 U.S.-made missiles fired by Ukrainian forces toward the Crimean Bridge, which links Russia to Crimea, which Moscow annexed in 2014.

Ukrainian officials in Pokrovsk urge locals to flee as Russian military advance. The evacuation order came as Russian soldiers swiftly approach the region, a major Russian objective throughout the battle.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned of Russian attacks on Pokrovsk and other Donetsk towns. He said the impacted areas are receiving vital supplies and help.

In a recent strike, Ukrainian air defenses downed five Russian drones. The Russian military attacked using Iskander-M ballistic missiles and UAVs.

Kim Jong Un, North Korea's leader, has committed to work with Russia in a "sacred struggle for peace and justice."
