Celebrations during the Holy Month move to the beach this year at the award-winning Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort and Spa, which has opened its stylish Ramadan tent –Al Layali - on the beachfront.
Al Layali (the nights in Arabic) is on a wooden deck on the beach, so guests can enjoy traditional Ramadan nights overlooking the warm waters of the Arabian Gulf. With four gazebos in every corner and a large central gazebo, Al Layali can seat more than 300 plus guests.
Guests can break their fast at Iftar in the hotel’s Brasserie, with either indoor seating, or a shaded terrace with live cooking shows. The buffet is Dhs110 per person.
After Iftar, guests can move outside to Al Layali, for hot and cold mezze, shisha and board games until the early hours, accompanied by live oud and tableh players performing tradtional Arabic folk favorites. Entrance to Al Layali is free.
For those looking for a more lavish meal, guests can move to Al Khaima, the property’s beach and garden-front restaurant.
