Arab banks need to build knowledgeable human resources around Internet solutions and to take up the on-line challenge, AME Info reported Sunday, quoting a leading Saudi Internet banking expert.
Abdul Razzaq Al Saleh, Head of Internet Banking at Saudi Arabia's Arab National Bank, was quoted by the news service as saying that on-line banking will become a regional norm within 3-6 years and those who don't respond to the challenge will be "at a serious disadvantage."
Al Saleh will address the First Arab E-Banking and E-Security Summit, which is to be held in Dubai this April, and attended by more than 250 Arab, Islamic and international bankers, outlining the case for Internet banking and present a case study of alarabi-ebank - the first Internet banking solution to be introduced in Saudi Arabia said AME Info – Albawaba.com
