The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) announced the launch of an e-learning center on Saturday, reported the Gulf Daily News.
The center has been set up in association with the US-based e-learning company SmartForce and its Bahrain partner, Mindware Systems, said the paper.
More than 1,500 courses on information technology, the internet, e-commerce and computer networking will be made available at the new e-learning center for learners of all levels, ranging from beginners to professionals.
Mindware Systems, a technology training company based in Bahrain, has invested $250,000 (BD94,250) towards this project and has signed a contract for three years with the BIBF.
The courses will be sourced from SmartForce, a leading company in e-learning worldwide.
“There is no doubt that e-learning will play a much larger role in the overall training environment throughout the world,” said BIBF director Michael Langton - Albawaba.com
