Arab lawmakers expressed their support for the Palestinian Intifada and condemned Israel’s continuous aggression at the opening of the 39th session of the Executive Council of the Union of Arab Parliamentarians on Thursday.

Participants in the session, which focused mainly on the uprising in the West Bank and Gaza, also expressed their support for Beirut’s determination to liberate the occupied Shabaa Farms, said the Daily Star.

Participants also expressed support for Syria’s attempt to liberate its Israeli-occupied land.

The council’s president, Yemeni MP Abdel Qader Bin Saleh, said that “the Palestinian Intifada is a reply to racist and terrorist tactics.”

Bin Saleh criticized the double standards of the United States and Israel.

He called on the international community “to take steps to rein in Israel and restart the peace process based on the 1991 Madrid Peace Conference’s principle of land for peace.” – Albawaba.com
