US giant Microsoft has decided to set up a team of Arab experts to Arabize its new software programs, reported the Gulf News on Sunday.

The team will be based at the Dubai Internet City (DIC), said the paper.

"A new team will be based at the DIC for the Arabization, for which we will be pulling in members from our development teams now based in Redmond and Ireland," said Bahram Mohazzebi, general manager of Microsoft's Gulf and Eastern Mediterranean operations. "Some part of our Arabization programs will be handled from the DIC."

Meanwhile, the company this year will set up five dedicated teams to handle major enterprise-level accounts — government, light industry, financial services, telecommunications and oil and gas, said the agency.

Microsoft has subsidiary operations in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and sales offices in Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Jordan, Oman, Lebanon and Pakistan – Albawaba.com
