Leading insurance company AXA, announced today the appointment of Mr. Andrea Rossi as the new Chief Executive Officer of AXA Insurance Gulf. Mr. Rossi will oversee AXA’s operations in the Gulf as well the Levant region.
Andrea Rossi took over responsibilities from Mr. Didier Boussemart who moves to the AXA Mediterranean region as Chief Audit Officer.
Making his initial statements after taking over as the new CEO, Andrea Rossi said that he had plans to grow the AXA brand into other markets in the region and expand the business lines as well.
Says Andrea, “I am thrilled to be here. We have a great JV partner in the Kanoo Group and together we will expand the AXA brand geographically. This is a booming market and AXA has tremendous growth opportunities in the GCC. We have a long-term ambition to become ‘The Preferred Company’ in the Gulf. Our strategy is to achieve operational excellence in product innovation, underwriting, claims management, distribution, and quality of service. With the support of our employees and the implementation of the ‘AXA Way’ continuous process improvement program, we aim to reach the highest level of customer satisfaction in the region.”

Andrea Rossi has been with AXA for the past 6 years and has held various executive positions within the company. He was involved in several acquisitions for the Group and was Senior Vice President for International Operations for the Mediterranean region, Latin America and the Middle East. A graduate from the University of Rome with a MBA from Fontainebleau’s INSEAD, Andrea speaks as many as six languages. He is known for his focus on the Six Sigma methodology and has a dynamic leadership style.
