AL chief: US neo-conservatives ''more dangerous'' than Jewish lobby

Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa on Monday announced the Arab Summit was scheduled to be held at the end of May, noting the situation in Iraq, the Middle East and reforms as well restructuring the League would be on the agenda. 

 

In a statement to the Kuwaiti Al-Qabas newspaper, Moussa warned that the neo-conservatives taking power in the US administration are more dangerous than the Jewish lobby itself. Thus, he added he wasn't surprised by the recent agreement between US President Bush and Ariel Sharon regarding the Palestinian issue.  

 

He said the Arab reform initiative was worked out in order to confront of the American initiative called the Grater Middle East. Moussa told the newspaper the Arab initiative aims at sending a message that the Arab countries would make their own decisions. Within this framework, he also warned Arab states from being exposed to "foreign intervention" in their internal affairs. (Albawaba.com)
