Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in Baku on Friday that Iranian nation's strength and scientific achievements are in service of regional and global peace and tranquility and are not an affront to any nation. Ahmadinejad told the ninth ECO summit, "Unfounded allegations of the world's bullying powers will not have a mere effect on the will of Iranian nation in its endeavor to move in the path for progress and prosperity."
According to Irna, he said, "The Islamic Republic of Iran wants peace and calm based on monotheism, justice and human dignity worldwide." The president added that Iran is keen to continue the path to production of nuclear fuel for its power plants in line with the international regulations and under supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency. "The Islamic Republic of Iran considers the big (nuclear) achievement belonging to all the regional states and the world of Islam," said the Iranian leader.
